I agree. Just showed this video to the students at Ashbury College (Grade 10 / Careers Classes) – the term “social media” was new to them but not Facebook!

Hi, Helen,

Boy this gets me thinking more than ever before! As you know I have always thought of Twitter as a huger time-waster for people without real jobs — I’m still not convinced otherwise but I DO see the huge influence of social media on so many levels, especially consumer preferences and drives. The markets I will be selling to in 3-5 years will come from these arenas.

HELP! ) I have profiles and valuable content on Flickr, Facebook, Picasa, my own WordPress blog – all Search Engine Optimized – but they are dull tools as I think about these media.

I LOVE your new web site — what a great education too! Just goes to show you – an educated customer is you BEST customer!

Are you ready? Loaded question as the stats are mind numbing. Yet, when one stops to think how much of their day is occupied by social media, one has to agree, it’s NO fad!
