Peter,

We have both a Social Media monitoring strategy - and the tools to do the job.

Bishop's is currently starting up their Social Media strategy which will most likely include some Buzz Monitoring. As of right now, they are putting a lot of focus into Facebook and Twitter as tools to attract new students - and it has worked. Enrollment is way up from last year. Last year the school only had about 1700 students, and this year there are 700 new first year students alone.

I was wondering if Bishop's has a Social Media monitoring strategy? This blog only talks about using Twitter to connect ... do they monitor Buzz about the university?

Good article!

Why do I Tweet? A number of reasons (in no particular order):

+ It gives our BLOG access to a broader audience.
+ Each BLOG posts appears on Twitter as it is posted.
+ People can then Retweet our posts.
+ Cycling is big on Twitter. So it's a natural fit for us.
+ It is "real-time"
+ Finding stuff (like our site) is dead simple.
+ Twitter is part of our overall Marketing strategy.

What has it brought us? New visitors from various countries around the world.

Who wouldn't use something that is free to use and without ads?
