Last night marked another great session (our 11th!) of the Ottawa Search & Digital Marketing Meetup Group – which was held at the Clocktower Brew Pub. We had a great turnout (+25 peeps) of Ottawa area search & digital marketing professionals.  As is has become the norm, our event was preceded by some excellent networking. WebFuel, in association with Longship Consulting IABC Ottawa hosted this well-attended MeetUp.

Our main presenter was Erik Hagborg.  His presentation focussed on why a successful website must balance the needs of both the business and its users. To do so effectively requires a clear strategy. He went on to explain why measurement plays a vital role in any effective strategy, and ultimately in developing a great user experience.  But understanding what to measure, and how, is a challenge for many organizations. His presentation and subsequent discussion focussed on how measurement is key to any good user experience strategy.
