And now we have some news that will make you even happier… WebFuel has responded to the industry trends and our clients demands and we’ve hired a Social Media Strategist.
As you know we provide three key services:
Well, with our latest hire – Jason Faber, we’re able to dedicate even more time and resources to ensuring that your Social Media requirements are met. We are very excited that we are in such a strong position that allows us to hire a Social Media Strategist.
Jason joins the team full-time on June 15, 2010 and he will be focusing on:
- Social Media Campaigns
- Social Media Optimization
- Social Media Monitoring
- Blogging about the latest Social Media news and trends – and Canadian data.
Like you, Jason knows how big Social Media Marketing is and is excited to be able to help WebFuel clients take full advantage of the latest tools and trends.
“I can’t really remember a time when I wasn’t on the Internet staying plugged into the latest tools and applications. And now with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and blogging, it is such an exciting space to be in. It is a fun time to be starting on my full-time career as Social Media Strategist,” says Jason.
Not only does Jason have hands-on experience within the Social Media space, but he also has a sound education in business and economics that makes him fully aware of the day-to-day concerns that today’s business owners face. Jason graduated from Bishop’s University on June 12, 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Concentration Marketing/Concentration Entrepreneurship with a minor in Economics. Additionally, Jason was awarded the Purple Letter Award by Bishop’s University. This award is presented for outstanding effort, participation and dedication to Bishop’s University and the community of Lennoxville, Québec.
Jason brings with him two years of Social Media Marketing expertise that he honed working part-time with WebFuel through-out his university years and while he worked for Bishop University’s as their first Social Media Guy.
In this role at Bishop’s University, Jason was responsible for the development and management of Social Media campaigns with the goal to improve the university’s presence on the Internet. This included building brand on the web, online reputation management – and getting the word out about Bishop’s via Social Media for recruitment purposes.
To do this Jason used his expertise with Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to give the university a social media presence and prominent visibility and high engagement via these social media sites. Thanks to Jason’s hard work and knowledge, Bishop’s University was ranked as best university Canada using Facebook in terms of Fan interaction and Student to Fan ratio by Academica Group Inc.
As part of Jason’s ongoing professional development, he will be attending the PubCon Social Media and Search Marketing Conference in the fall and he participates in a number of networking and knowledge-building groups including:
- Canadian Social Media Breakfast Events
- Canadian Social Media Marketing
- Canadian Social Media Professionals
In addition to this, Jason will be attending relevant Social Media Webinars and Webcasts as well as staying on top of the latest industry trends by following industry leader blogs and websites.
