At WebFuel we believe in educating our clients about search visibility so that they can understand the process and make better decisions for themselves or their company.

Early in the year, we posted a blog entry related to SEO acronyms to help site visitors decode acronyms by spelling them out. We would like to extend this resource by launching our very own Search Visibility Glossary.

This glossary of terms is about Search Visibility – and everything related. It is designed to help those that are new to this industry get a better understanding of this unique (and sometimes confusing!) terminology.

Below you will find a list of terms, definitions and industry acronyms in alphabetical order.

Backlinks (BLs)
Backlinks, also known as inbound links (IBLs), are links to your website, blog or online profile. They send web traffic from referring sites as well as build your credibility with search engines.

Blog
A blog is an online journal in a web page format. It is frequently updated. Posts appear in chronological order with the most recent one at the top.

This is just an example.
